Alan Howe, in congradulatory tone

I believe that the motion of Alan's hand is toward his opponent's in a motion toward the customary resignation handshake. One can see on Alan's face that the end of this game brings relief. As a fellow chessplayer, I have felt this same relief myself. Normally, I would not have prolonged the agony for myself as long as Alan has for himself in this game.
