map of the horicon marsh
i'm always fascinated with maps.. and they had a bunch of these signs.
we were following the border of the marsh around to take the scenic
route back to lomira, so lara stopped for this pic.

consarnt.. can't make out all the werds {:}

i suppose they have a website.. maybe we can get a better res
blowup {:}

okay i am going to take a stab at this.. i think the top left annotation on that map is Waupun which i am pretty sure is pronounced wa-pawn i remember there being a famous wisconsin prison there (well.. famous in wisconsin anyway).. as you move down the left side of the ovall, that next town is probably Burnett because it's seems to be closest to the marsh.. at the bottom is definitely the town of Horicon then moving around the bottom is Mayville it not only borders but is also bigger like Waupun and Horicon.. The pic where I point into the distance in weeds was taken where we followed the signs in the town of horicon and entered the southern tip of the marsh.. then we drove on the wisconsin 28 east to mayville, where we picked up the country trunk TW thereby avoiding most of the town of Mayville and this picture I believe is in the rather small village of Kekoskee and that's that last little annotation outside the map.. it also tells you stuff inside the marsh, but i really couldn't tell you what that is about
